“You’re a strange creature!”
The alien said
as he dropped from the sky
to land on my head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“You have only two legs,
two arms and two eyes?
That’s the oddest, strangest,
most disturbing disguise!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s not a disguise,”
I explained patiently,
“that’s just how I look!
I’m a human, you see.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The alien smiled
and wrinkled his nose
as he shuffled around
and examined my toes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Pardon me, my good sir,” The alien sniffed “I came on a visit, “Stay?!” I exclaimed He smiled and nodded, “I think you’re mistaken,” The alien stared “Crypto’s a mess,” “Alright, that’s enough!” I grinned and I waved “You’re a strange creature!”
I said quite politely,
“But who and what<\/em> are you?”
(For he was quite unsightly).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and stared up at me,
his eyes bugging out
like a big bumble bee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
for a long holiday.
I’m a Gelskidherrubin
and I think I might stay!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
with my hands in the air,
“Stay here<\/em>, here on Earth?
Are you really quite sure?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It seems very pleasant.
It has plenty of space
for an alien tenant!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I said truthfully,
“this planet’s no good,
not for you, nor for me!
The ice is all melting,
the forest’s on fire,
there’s trash in the sea,
influencers<\/em> for hire!
There’s war and there’s plagues.
We’re all mediocre.
This planet’s a failure
since the humans took over.
The world is all run
by big corporations,
and people forget
how to hold conversations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
for quite a long while
like he couldn’t believe
we’d endured such a trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I continued with glee,
“The dolphins are dying
and so are the trees!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The alien begged,
“I think I’ve endured
enough of your dread.
My own planet’s bad,
(we have boiling lakes),
but now I see clearly
That I’ve made a mistake!
I think I’ll be going!
Enjoy your existence.
Please don’t try to find me.
I prefer a safe distance.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
as he hopped on his ship,
somewhat sad that he ended
